Hurley History

Kevin has been a resident of the Roanoke Valley since 1972. After graduating from Cave Spring High School, Kevin packed up his things and moved to Kentucky's Morehead State University. During his time at Morehead State, Kevin earned a degree in Photojournalism as well as the heart of his wife Marian.

After returning to the Roanoke Valley, Kevin and Marian were blessed with their two beautiful daughters, Emma and Ellen. For 15 years, Kevin worked with a locally owned and operated camera store, running their professional photofinishing labs. In 1996, Kevin launched his full time photographic business which was located in a rented space in scenic downtown Roanoke. In 2000, Kevin Hurley Photography finally found a place that it could call home in a 115 year old house located in the Historic Old Southwest district of Roanoke.

Since starting his business, Kevin's goal has been to not only create beautiful images for his clients but to also provide them with exceptional service that will be a memorable experience in itself.

In 2023 Kevin merged his business with Traci Hoprich Photography for the next  several years you will get the service of two great photographers. By combining forces, Weddings and Boudoir photography will now be available.
